What buyers should know if they are not covered by the scheme

Students who are not eligible, or who miss the last date, still need a laptop for studies. Organisations buying laptops for staff or computer labs purchase through B2B channels, not through a government scheme. Every laptop carries a 12 months standard replacement warranty, extendable up to 3 years at extra cost. Desktops and workstations follow the same terms. Servers carry a 12 months standard warranty, extendable up to 3 years. Networking equipment carries 12 months standard, extendable up to 2 years. The warranty includes parts and labour, including engineer travel costs, on covered repairs. Claims are raised and tracked in the client portal at app.jaycotech.pk.

What drives business laptop pricing in PKR

There is no public price list. Pricing moves with stock, configuration, condition, warranty term, quantity, and FX. What drives the price is configuration (CPU, RAM, storage, display), condition (certified refurbished versus new), warranty term (12 months standard or a paid extension), quantity and fleet mix, and the SLA tier attached to the deployment. SLA tiers: Basic, Business, Enterprise

JAYCO Tech offers SLA support contracts in three tiers: Basic, Business, and Enterprise. Response and resolution times are measured from the time a valid ticket is logged through an approved channel. Onsite times apply within city limits; extended zones may carry additional travel time clauses. SLA contract pricing is quoted per client and is not published.

Microsoft Third Party Refurbisher status and genuine Windows

JAYCO Tech is a Microsoft Third Party Refurbisher. Refurbished Windows devices supplied under the programme are wiped, rebuilt, and issued with their own genuine, documented Windows licence, recorded against the device serial number. We are not a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher, Microsoft partner, or reseller, and this is not a Microsoft endorsement. The programme covers the Windows operating system only, not Office or Microsoft 365.

Windows 10 support ended on 14 October 2025. Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0, UEFI Secure Boot, and a supported processor generation. How to verify a Windows licence on any refurbished device

Open Settings > System > Activation to confirm Windows is activated. Run winver to check the edition and version. Use slmgr /dli in Command Prompt to view the licence channel. Check for a physical licence label on the device. Ask the seller for the licence record against the device serial number. These steps help a buyer confirm a genuine licence even when purchasing from another vendor.
