Laptop Punjab gov pk 2025: What the Scheme Was
The Laptop Punjab gov pk 2025 was a provincial government programme that provided laptops to eligible students in Punjab, Pakistan. Devices were distributed through official government phases, not through private vendors. JAYCO Tech is an independent hardware supplier based in Karachi, Pakistan, with no role in the scheme and cannot process applications. Apply and check status through the official Punjab government portal at https://punjab.gov.pk/laptop-scheme.
Scheme purpose and digital literacy goal
The scheme aimed to improve digital literacy among students in Punjab by supplying devices through government-run phases. Eligibility, merit criteria and distribution timelines were set by the Punjab government and could change between phases.
Who ran the scheme
The scheme was administered by the Punjab government through its official portal. Application and status checking happened only on the official government portal.
JAYCO Tech independence statement
JAYCO Tech is an independent hardware supplier based in Karachi, Pakistan. We have no affiliation with the Punjab laptop scheme, are not endorsed by it, and cannot process applications, check eligibility or influence merit lists.
Official Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for the scheme depended on the current phase. Students generally needed current enrolment in a Punjab public sector university or college, and selection was merit-based as defined by the Punjab government for that phase. Scheme details changed between phases, so the official portal was the authoritative source.
Student eligibility by institution type
Public sector university and college students in Punjab were the typical target group. Exact criteria, including any discipline or year-of-study requirements, were published by the government for each phase.
Merit list basis
Merit lists were published phase-wise by the government. JAYCO Tech does not publish, maintain or influence these lists.
Why details changed by phase
Each phase had different device allocations, eligibility rules and timelines. Students should verify current requirements on the official portal before applying.
How to Apply Online
Applications for the scheme were submitted through the official Punjab government laptop scheme portal. Applicants created an account, submitted the required documents and tracked their application status on the same portal.
Step-by-step application flow
- Visited the official Punjab government laptop scheme portal.
- Created an account using their credentials.
- Submitted the documents required for the current phase.
- Tracked their application status on the portal.
Documents typically required
Document requirements varied by phase and were published on the official portal. Applicants prepared enrolment proof and identification documents as specified for their phase.
Where to check application status
Application status was checked on the official government portal using your application or CNIC number. JAYCO Tech does not provide status checking for the scheme.
How to Check Merit List and Application Status
Students used the official status portal with their application or CNIC number to check whether they appeared on the phase-wise merit list. Merit list publication dates were announced by the government, not by JAYCO Tech.
Status-checking steps
- Opened the official Punjab government laptop scheme portal.
- Entered their application number or CNIC.
- Reviewed their status and any merit list publication for their phase.
Merit list timing
Merit lists were published according to government schedules for each phase. Dates were not fixed across phases and had to be confirmed on the official portal.
What to do if your name was not listed
If you were not listed, you could check whether a later phase was open or whether you met the updated eligibility criteria. JAYCO Tech cannot intervene in scheme decisions.

How we assess this
We reviewed publicly available information about the Punjab government laptop scheme process and mapped it against JAYCO Tech's published enterprise hardware terms. All JAYCO claims are limited to verified facts: Karachi HQ, service cities Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Faisalabad, warranty terms, SLA tiers Basic, Business and Enterprise, and Microsoft Third Party Refurbisher status. Scheme-specific dates, merit criteria and application steps are attributed to the official portal only, with a clear statement that JAYCO Tech has no role in the programme.
